An Immersive Pole Experience:
Theis Afrofeminineand Other Notes in Resistance
The "Future is Afrofeminine and Other Notes in Resistance" is an immersive celebration of Black womanhood, where pole dancing, storytelling, and generative visuals come together. Set against a backdrop of neon body paint and kanga-inspired audio-reactive visuals, the show features dynamic performances that are bold, playful, and revolutionary. It's a joyful, defiant exploration of Afrofuturist visions, celebrating the creativity and resilience of Black women through interactive art and dance. The unique event is a major cultural expression through a captivating blend of movement, light, and sound.

Co-Founder &Creative Director
Arwa is a Creative Director who has been working in the immersive space since 2017. Her work exists at the intersection of tech and social change with a focus on the experiences of womxn and black people.
Arwa has worked as an Imagineer at Walt Disney Imagineering, designing interactive experiences for the Avengers Campus in Disneyland California. She also worked as an Experience Design manager at Madison Square Garden's Sphere Entertainment, the world's largest immersive venue in Las Vegas. Currently, Arwa works as a Designer at Meta building virtual worlds. Arwa received my master's degree in Design Engineering from the MIT Media Lab and BA. from Yale University. Now based in Los Angeles, Arwa was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya.
Outside of work, Arwa has been pole dancing for 3 years.
